Help Sandeep Kashyap continue his education

Meet the Kashyaps, Manjula and her husband. Manjula, a BSc graduate from Mysore, had to suddenly take up a job to take care of their two sons when her husband, a marketing executive, met with an accident. The accident, followed by two near-death experiences and several restorative operations, left Manjula’s husband weak and unable to continue active work. They then put up a small shop to help with finances but unfortunately the shop ran into losses and had to be shut down.

With two young sons to care for and with finances extremely short, Manjula had to take up whichever job she could get. She found employment as a contract employee with the Forest Department. Her day begins at 5 AM and ends at 11 Pm everyday and the salary is not even sufficient to take care of their sons’ education. However, this hasn’t dimmed Manjula’s enthusiasm for life or even the width of her ever-present smile.

Her elder son Karthik is a Shivprabha scholarship recipient who scored 84% in his XIIth standard exams, inspite of bad health. Being aware of the importance of an education, Manjula took a loan to ensure Karthik got admitted into an engineering college.

Her younger son, Sandeep, a brilliant student himself, just scored 94% in his IXth standard exams and needs Rs. 37,000 for his Xth standard admissions. With her family’s help, Manjula has been able to raise Rs. 20,000 so far and needs only Rs. 17,000 more to ensure her son can continue studying and secure his future.

Every young child in this country or anywhere in this world has the right to education. Often though, financial circumstances deprive children of this fundamental right. With your help, we can ensure Sandeep Kashyap is not deprived of his right to education.

Thank you to all of you who helped us raise enough funds to ensure Sandeep Kashyap was able to continue his education.
